Meet The Team
Coach Hernandez
With over 40 years of baseball experience, Coach Hernandez has been deeply involved in the game since his early days as a Chicago Cubs bat boy, where he learned from Major League players and coaches. A dedicated coach and trainer, Hernandez has coached at multiple high schools, including St. Benedict, Lane Tech, and DePaul Prep. He is also a respected figure in travel baseball, leading one of the top-ranked teams in the state and nationally over the past four years. Known for his attention to detail and player development, Coach Hernandez helps athletes reach their full potential with the training, knowledge, skills, and confidence to compete at the highest levels.
Coach Noel
Noel Areizaga brings decades of experience as a player, coach, and mentor in the Chicago baseball community. Originally from Moca, Puerto Rico, he grew up in Humboldt Park, starred as a pitcher at Roberto Clemente High School, and continued his baseball career at Missouri Valley College (1990-1993), where he played in the 1991 regionals and earned a degree in education. After college, he signed with the AA Federation of Baseball in Puerto Rico before transitioning into coaching and education. He spent six years as a physical education teacher and head coach at Foreman High School, leading teams in baseball, swimming, and volleyball. He later joined the Chicago Police Department and continues to serve as a high school resource officer in the Austin neighborhood. A dedicated baseball coach and instructor, Areizaga has led programs at Michelle Clark High and Chicago Legends 18+ (3 national championships). He has worked as a pitching instructor for several elite travel teams, including Cangelosi Sparks, Horner Park Highlanders, and The Base. He is also a member of the Chicago Public Schools Coaching Association and plays for the Puerto Rican Masters National Baseball Team (45+).
Coach Ulises
Coach Ulises has over a decade of experience as an educator and coach. He played at Lake View High School, where he was a four-year varsity starter, three-year team captain, and an All-City selection. He continued his career at Benedictine University as a four-year starter. Ulises began coaching at Concordia University in 2013, helping lead the team to a 39-7 record. He has seven years of high school coaching experience and three years in summer travel baseball, currently coaching Forest Park AI9 Pack 16U.
Coach G
Coach Gaston "Coach G" Lopez has over two decades of experience in athletic training and development. As the CEO and Founder of 60'6" Athletics, he serves as the Head Trainer across multiple sports. He has been instrumental in organizing the Remembering Ramiro Baseball Tournament and leads various programs, including camps, clinics, leagues, and showcases. His expertise and dedication have made him a respected figure in athlete development, helping players reach their full potential.
Coach Brittany
Brittany Gomez-Olson is a former professional softball player and experienced coach with a strong background in collegiate and international competition. She was an assistant coach at South Dakota State (2021-2023) and Bemidji State, where she also served as head coach. Prior to that, she was a graduate assistant at the University of Montana. A standout at Iowa State University, Brittany became the first four-time All-Big 12 selection in program history, finishing her career as the school’s all-time leader in hits, batting average (.396), steals, and runs scored. She was drafted 28th overall by the Pennsylvania Rebellion in the National Pro Fastpitch League and later played for the Texas Charge. Brittany also competed for Team USA Women’s Baseball, winning gold at the 2015 Pan American Games and representing the U.S. in multiple international tournaments.
